The science curriculum at Astrea Academy Dearne has been transformed over the past two years.
When I arrived as a newly appointed Head of Science, schemes of learning for KS3 didn't exist and lesson resources were rudimentary. Hardly key ingredients for ensuring our students have a high quality education.
We now have a curriculum that supports staff through enabling high quality planning. Whilst it isn't perfect, it does provide a strong platform for learning. 
Some documents have been uploaded to give a flavour of how our curriculum is structured. These include:

b. A document showing integration of science concepts and how progression over time.
